Faulty Charging Cable
Complaint Regarding Faulty Charging Cable – Purchased 17 January 2026
Dear Store Manager,
I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding a 2m charging cable purchased from your store on 17 January 2026 for R799.99. In December 2025, I also purchased a charging block from the same store.
By mid-February 2026, the cable stopped charging my phone. When I returned to the store, I was informed by a consultant that the damage was due to negligence and that the item would not be replaced under warranty.
I am concerned about this conclusion, as the cable was used under normal conditions. I do not understand how a premium cable at this price point would fail within approximately one month of standard use. I rely heavily on my phone for work purposes and cannot afford unexpected downtime due to product failure.
I would appreciate a clear explanation as to how negligence was determined and request that this matter be reassessed. As a loyal customer who also purchased the charging block from your store, I trust that this issue can be resolved fairly and in line with consumer protection guidelines.
I look forward to your prompt response.
