Excellent Service received from Motus Select Cape Town

I received excellent service from Motus Select Cape Town. One Saturday(16 May 2026) morning I walked into the dealership to look at the Jetour Dashing. I had been to 3 other dealerships before but I would walk in and out without anyone asking if I needed help or anything. This time it was different, someone came and offered to assist. He took the time to show me the different vehicles on the showroom, told me everything I needed to know about the vehicles. I felt so welcomed and recognised as a person/potential client. I gave him my details, he gave me an *** while I was still at the dealership. Jason Kettle was very professional, efficient and kept me updated throughout in making the deal happen. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly, Jason's colleague that sits next to him kept the conversation going when Jason went to fetch/scan from the printer. Selma De Klerk was also excellent when I had to sign the contract and the bank's system was offline. She made sure that I get to sign the contract by printing and signing. I appreciate her efforts. I would recommend Jason Kettle and Motus Cape Town to anyone that wants to buy a new car

Left stranded

Motus hyundai nelspruit It's very disappointing on how hyundai nelspruit handle their customers I brought my car in june this year it was brand new only to hear sounds mid july and tried to book it in on 25 August so that they can check it only for me to wait the whole day for the car, got it around 5pm nothing was fixed I don't even think they inspected it. They told me to choose any Saturday and bring it in they will fix it then around September I took the car there, I was told the technician need atleast 2 to 3 days to inspect the car. As per the instructions I took the car back last week Monday which was 5 October I was expecting to get it by Wednesday (7 October), during this 3 days there was no feedback or any form of communication up until Thursday, I decided to physically go there yet again when I got there I was told i will get it friday or Saturday the technician need 4 hours, Saturday morning I tried calling to find out what was going on only to be ignored, as I'm typing this message my car is still at the dealership I have no mode of transportation and no information on what is wrong with the car and to when will I get my car back. I really regret involving myself with them

Title: Sold me a defective car. Vehicle Returned Unrepaired Despite Ongoing Defects Reported Within Months of Purchase

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Motus Select George following the purchase of a 2019 Ford EcoSport. I purchased the vehicle on 13 June 2026, and it was registered in my name on 24 June 2026. Within a very short period after taking delivery, I began experiencing a number of issues with the vehicle, including a recurring "Charging System Service Now" warning and tyre pressure monitoring faults. These concerns were reported to the dealership promptly and repeatedly over the following weeks. Given that I purchased the vehicle from a reputable dealership, I trusted that it had been properly inspected and was in good working order when sold. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. After numerous communications, workshop visits, photographs of warning messages, and assurances that the matter would be investigated, I was recently informed that the alternator failure is considered "wear and tear" and that I would be expected to contribute 50% of the repair costs. I disagreed with this position, particularly because the defect was reported shortly after delivery and well within the six-month warranty period. Today, Motus returned my vehicle to me. Shockingly, none of the mechanical issues have been repaired. The vehicle has been returned in substantially the same condition as when it was handed over for repairs. The charging system fault remains unresolved, and I am once again left with a vehicle that I do not feel confident driving. What is even more frustrating is that I am not a high-mileage driver. I have driven the vehicle very little since purchasing it, making it difficult to accept that a major component failure occurring so soon after purchase should simply be regarded as my responsibility. As a consumer, I believe it is reasonable to expect that a vehicle purchased from a dealership will be reliable, roadworthy, and supported when significant defects are identified shortly after sale. Instead, I have spent months trying to have legitimate concerns addressed, only to have the vehicle returned without the necessary repairs being completed. I sincerely hope that Motus Select management reviews this matter and takes the opportunity to resolve it fairly. At present, I am left feeling disappointed, unsupported, and questioning the quality inspections conducted before vehicles are offered for sale. I would appreciate a response from Motus Select senior management regarding why the vehicle was returned to me without the identified mechanical faults being repaired.

Motus Rustenburg -DO BETTER

Motus Selct Rustenburg ⭐ **1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience** I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a vehicle from this dealership to **think twice and do your homework first**. From the very beginning of the buying process, this has been an absolute nightmare. There were mistakes with the pricing ,followed by unnecessary delays and frustration with the registration of the vehicle, which took weeks. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end once the car was finally registered. Within one month of purchasing the vehicle, problems started occurring with the car. The dealership was informed and the vehicle was taken in to be repaired. I was given a promised delivery/collection date for the supposedly fixed vehicle — but, once again, that promise was not kept. What is even more shocking is that I eventually found out that nothing had actually been done to fix the vehicle. Now, to make matters even worse, I am being told that I cannot even collect the vehicle because it is apparently "locked in.”This is a vehicle that I have purchased and paid for, yet I am being prevented from simply collecting my own property. The complete lack of communication and accountability from management has been extremely disappointing. Calls and concerns seem to go nowhere, and there appears to be absolutely no urgency or concern about resolving the situation. A car purchase is a major financial commitment, and customers should be able to expect professionalism, honesty, communication and basic respect. Unfortunately, my experience with this dealership has been the complete opposite. From incorrect pricing, weeks of registration delays, problems with the vehicle shortly after purchase, promises that weren't kept, repairs that apparently weren't even done, and now being unable to collect my own vehicle — this has been one frustration after another. The worst part is that nobody in management seems to care enough to actually take responsibility and resolve the situation. I deeply regret my experience with this dealership and would not recommend them based on what I have experienced. If you are considering buying a vehicle here, I strongly suggest you ask very detailed questions, get everything in writing, and make sure you understand exactly what happens if something goes wrong after the sale.

Gross Incompetence, Zero Communication, and Negligence – Renault Northcliff (Motus Group)

I am appalled by the atrocious service, lack of technical competence, and utter disregard for customer care at Renault Northcliff (Motus Group). Back in June, I brought my car in for a coolant leak. I was charged roughly R4,500 to replace an EGR pipe, which failed to fix the problem. I had to return three separate times before they claimed the actual issue was the thermostat housing, which they resealed. Fast forward a few months: the exact same coolant leak returned. I dropped my car off last week Monday. After their initial inspection, the technicians claimed they couldn’t find any issue. I had to physically go to the dealership and confront the manager just to get them to do their jobs and investigate properly. Horrifyingly, when the manager instructed them to strip the car to find the root cause, I was told it would be "too big of a job for them to strip and find the issue." Since when is a primary manufacturer dealership unwilling or unable to diagnose its own vehicles? When they finally diagnosed the issue—a valve near the EGR pipe and thermostat—they promised a quick turnaround. It has now been over 9 days without my car. I was never contacted with an update. I had to physically walk into the dealership again on Monday, only to be casually informed that the part had to be ordered from France and would take 14 to 21 working days to arrive. No proactive communication, no updates, zero accountability, and absolutely no courtesy or loan vehicle offered while I am left stranded without transport. Whenever I call, the receptionist hides behind the standard "the manager is in a meeting" excuse. The manager only acts when I physically show up and force an interaction. Renault Northcliff and Motus Group have displayed sheer incompetence and a total lack of empathy for their customers. I am carless and they did not even bother to get me a loan car during this period.
