Worst Service When Wanting to Cancel
Beware of Home Connect when wanting to cancel. Their customer service is only ‘good’ when they are trying to get you to sign up. When you want to cancel, it’s the worst customer service ever. I emailed them on 29 April telling them I needed to cancel as I was leaving my apartment on 30 April. They rep**** saying I had to do some complicated procedure on my portal to activate the cancellation. I was in the process of moving, the 1st was a holiday and I did not even have log in details for the portal so I ended up only contacting them again on the 2nd of May at which point they gave me the login details. When I then tried to do the process online it would only allow me to cancel from July. I emailed them saying I don’t mind paying the one month notice of May as per contract but not two months and they ignored my emails and I’ve called on two occasions to say I gave notice by emailing them on the 29th of April but both people I spoke to just kept insisting it was my problem that I did not do the online process in April and that emailing them is not considered ‘giving notice’. There is a new tenant in the apartment who’s also signed up with Home Connect (because you don’t have much choice if you stay at a Balwin) so they will be double charging both me and him for the months of May and June. Unlike RAIN internet who calls you when you want to cancel and asks if everything is ok and if there is any way they can help for you to continue using them, Home Connect didn’t even bother asking that - they’re only interested in charging you as many cancellation fees and costs as they can.
Thank you
