Shocking Support
Following the recent migration changes implemented by Home Connect, I have been experiencing a series of challenges. Despite having a 200Mbps upload speed with Home Connect, I find myself compelled to rely on my Vodacom data for uploading files overseas as the actual speed I’m getting is a mere 1Mbps.
Moreover, the control over my home devices has been lost due to an issue with the static IP, which is now unreachable.
Despite reaching out to their support team, the promised same-day response has yet to materialise. This lack of timely communication further exacerbates the situation.

17 Jun 2024, 11:50It has been over a month since I first encountered the issue. Naveshan has made efforts to provide assistance, but the crux of the problem lies in the acquisition of Home Connect by Afrihost. Since the takeover, Home Connect’s reliance on Afrihost for support has become apparent. Unfortunately, it seems that Afrihost does not place a high priority on resolving Home Connect customer issues. Consequently, I am experiencing service speeds that are less than 20% of what my plan should offer, and to add to the frustration, my IP access is being restricted by Afrihost.
