More downtime than uptime

If I could give them a 0 I would. More downtime than uptime. They don't let customers know of scheduled downtime/maintenance, which is more than the system is up. As an IT person working from home due to a world pandemic, I cannot afford to just randomly be offline for a couple of hours day. The consultants are friendly when you phone and just advise you to wait, they are sure the service will be up again at some point, can't tell you when. Its always Frogfoot's fault, obv never Home-connect, however my contract is with Home-connect. Very frustrating, we are moving in a couple of weeks, so its not worth the effort to get a new service provider, but will definitely look consider all our other options once we have moved

Thank for your comprehensive reply.
Yes a technician has been in contact. 3 in fact, none of which could offer any assistance except reassure me that the service would be up and running again at some point, not that they could tell me when. No indication if it would be 1 hour or 5 days. And again, our internet has been off today for more than 12 hrs. Its currently still off with no indication of when it will be up again.

Home connect agreed to pro rate the monthly connection fee in line with all the downtime, except that I need to provide proof of when it was down and they will verify if my claims are true. So they have the data, they know when it was down, but I need to prove it. Great customer service ????
