Hidden costs

I chose home connect on their rating for customer service. Sadly not all employees have the same integrity. When fibre finally came to our neighborhood I set out to do my homework on the isp's. Home connect had great ratings(still do) and very competitive packages. Great! Signed up for a ultimate package with free installation etc. Comes the day for the install...contracter informs me that my line will be more than 30m from point in street. I am lable for every meter after that( driveway alone is 26m). When we talked to the salesman at our house there were no hidden costs and even in the ads online(took screenshots) free installation has no asterisk(*) or even any indication that installation could cost extra. Free means free right? When contacting the company the lady who I talked to(very friendly and professional) admitted that sometimes salespeople don't tell potential costumers this, but it is still on their website.

I still have not found it but I do believe it is there. Why not just be open and honest about it from the start? Does integrity not mean anything to people anymore? How about principals? Honesty?

Free FrogFoot ONT installation. Home-Connect will cover the FrogFoot Fibre ONT installation & activation fees

Copied above straight from internet page. Only one company had the 30m clause out in the open(seacom)
