Title: Urgent warning to customers with Furniture Vibe lay-bys I am extremely disappointed and concerned about my experience with Furniture Vibe. I had a lay-by with the Arbour Crossing branch and was due to collect my item today, 15 September 2026. When I arrived at the store, I found that the branch was closed. There is now different signage at the premises, and the store appears to no longer be operating. I tried contacting Furniture Vibe using the telephone numbers I have, but they are not working. I then contacted the sales executive, Nomusa, who was assisting me with my lay-by. She informed me telephonically that the store is in liquidation and said she would send me an email regarding the matter because she does not want to get involved further. I have not received this email yet and am still waiting for it. What concerns me even more is that I have gone through Furniture Vibe's TikTok posts and found numerous other customers commenting that they also have lay-bys with the company and are now experiencing the same situation, with people reporting that branches have closed. So what is happening to customers' money? If Furniture Vibe is no longer operating, customers who have paid money towards their lay-bys deserve a clear explanation of what is happening to their money and how they are going to be assisted. I have lodged a complaint with the National Consumer Commission because I need clarity on my rights and what steps I need to take to recover my money or receive the goods I have paid for. I am posting this review to alert other customers who may have lay-bys with Furniture Vibe to please be very careful, keep all proof of payment and documentation, and seek clarity from the company regarding their outstanding lay-bys. Furniture Vibe, we deserve answers. What is happening to our money?

I purchased a Grafton Everest Vargan suite from Furniture Vibe which developed severe creaking and squeaking during normal use while still under the advertised 2-year workmanship guarantee and 5-year frame guarantee. After reporting the defect, the couch was collected for repairs and later returned to me. Unfortunately, the exact same defect returned within hours of delivery, indicating that the repair attempt was unsuccessful. I repeatedly requested a repair report or technical explanation confirming: what defect was identified, what repairs were carried out, and whether any components were replaced. Despite multiple requests, no repair documentation or meaningful feedback was provided. The matter was escalated to Head Office and I was advised that feedback would be provided within 48 hours. That deadline passed without any meaningful response or resolution. At this stage, confidence in both the product and repair process has been lost. I have now formally escalated the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) and remain hopeful that Furniture Vibe/Grafton Everest will resolve the matter professionally and fairly.

Furniture Vibe: I purchased a 6 seater lounge set in November 2024. Six months later some stitches broke on the two seater. It went for repairs under warranty. Six months later, In January 2026, again it went in for repairs for stitch repairs in two place on the two seater sofa. But this time the two seater return to us with faded fabric colour(see pictures of before and after). We reported it to the driver and I sent photos of the faded set to the sales lady at the Amanzimtoti store and the Warehouse manager, Warren Hall. I insisted that Furniture vibe send out their manager or the manufacturer of the product( EARTHLINE BRAND). More than two weeks later, Peter & Jason came out to view the two seater that went out for repairs but returned faded grey. They saw the difference compared to the original grey colour of the other three seater and single recliner that didnt go away from my lounge. They promised to escalate the issue with the manufacturer. Jason said that the manufacturer would send somebody out to my home, but then the Amanzimtoti store manager called me to inform that they will be collecting the lounge set for the manufacturer to assess the issues reported. I was disgusted with the responses and decided to report the matter to the Ombudsman. I sent through a detail report, the Ombudsman sent Furniture vibe a letter, and to reply back by 24 April 2026. At the end of April 2026, I visited Furniture vibe Amanzimtoti, the store manager printed out the email that he received from the manufacturer. The email (attached)stated that everything on the lounge set is fine, and that the colour fade was caused due to the application of "Masterguard", and that the warranty was void. A few days later, Warren Hall sent me a letter from the manufacturer stating the similar response, but the word "Masterguard" was replaced with "external substance". I did not mention or submit in writing to Furniture vibe that I used an external substance to treat the fabric. Actually, Jason did mention once ,that i did not buy Masterguard treatment from the store, and that if I did, he could have asked the manufacturer to replace the sofa set. My issue with the two seater that was sent in for repairs and returned faded was dismissed by the manufacturer. I refused to accept the return of the two seater from Furniture vibe. They have not responded to the Ombudsmans letter to date, but the Ombud say that there is still a window period still afford to Furniture vibe to respond. Where to from here. Many customers are left in limbo with issues experienced with Furniture vibe, but the Ombudsman too are not strong in their approach to issues like these. Do not support Furniture vibe. Poooor customer service. They have messed up my two seater but are not taking responsibility for that. The owner, Peter said that the manufacturer and his staff couldn't have caused the fade, and that is could only have been caused by us...

I have had the most disgusting encounter with Furniture Vibe Springfield. There was absolutely zero communication with the sales personnel and the delivery company causing such delay and inconvenience! When I called to query the issue, the sales lady known as Wendy proceeded to shout on top of her voice and yelled ‘Jesus Chris just give me the damn delivery guys number’ Absolutely disgusting micro managed behaviour!!! Is it my job as the purchasing customer to liaise with the delivery company!!!

Poor build quality and poor service. Bought sofas 5 months ago and they started collapsing. When I contacted them about that, the response was their products do not have a guarantee or a warranty. Sofas are meant to last for years not months. Don't waste your money with them.

I am highly disappointed in the lack of service as I purchased a lounge suite online and paid for it via eft and even for delivery only to be told three days later they cannot give me the lounge suite due to the incorrect price loaded on the net. This is not my fault and I am the customer here nobody has called me to date. Very disappointed unprofessional lack of service.
