Fredd Fibre

In 2017 when they started i was one of the first to sign up. With lots of promises as to what they offer always under delivering with connectivity down time to numerous to count. Buffering on regular basis not being able to watch a full length movie. In August 2021 they offered an upgrade from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps, After the so call upgrade it was discovered that my equipment could not support to faster speed and the I would be down graded to my 100 Mbps but when I measured to speed it was well below what Fredd said it would be. What gets me is that from October 2021 Fredd has been charging me for the 200Mbps irrespective of them promising that they would revert to the 100Mbps. their excuse is that I never filled in the form. Unfortunately for me the Technician who was dealing with the problem did not advise the accounts department of his decision. Looks like I will be out of pocket for R800-00. Fredd do not have their customers requirements at heart. Would not Recommend them as a reliable supplier who lack credibility.

Dear Andrew, We are sorry to hear about this. We offered a double up speed promotion which you opted in for. The terms and conditions were clear that from October 2021 onwards your subscription and billing would be adjusted to the next highest package you selected, unless you opt out (downgrade) of the promotion before end September 2021. In addition, the promotion clearly stated that only certain routers were capable of speeds above 100 mbps and that we would be able to provide you with a router capable of higher speeds at an additional cost.  We are able to provide you with a mesh system on loan for a test period, to see if this improves the signal in your premises before you purchase the unit.

Please note in order to downgrade your line you will need to complete a regrade form.

Please advise on how we can assist you further or make your experience with Fredd more pleasant.

Kind regards,
Fredd Fibre
