Fibrestream is the worst Internet service provider
I joined Fibrestream from January 2018. From the date I signed the month to month agreement the battle for a decent service started. I had to pay a months fees in advance together with the installation cost. The service was only installed on the 14th Jan 2018 and when we enquired at the Support Desk I was promised that credit will be given. To date this was not done and not withstanding several follow-up emails I have not received the courtesy of a response from them. During the initial installation the dish was mounted to the geyser overflow instead of mounting the pole for the dish as per the agreement. The low bandwidth speed, the jitter , latency and packet loss resulted in a very poor and intermittent service. In July, August and September 2018 several emails were sent to the Support Desk regarding the problem experienced. In September Wesley Swart arranged for a technician to come and rectify the installation. The technician also realigned the dish. It was previously aligned to Witfield and he realigned it to Bedfordview in order to get a better signal. In April 2019 the problem started again and we reported it to the Support Desk again. After numerous calls and emails I was requested to agree for a technician to visit the premises with the understanding that if the equipment on site is faulty I will be charged a call out fee. On 2010-05-09 we were contacted and it was arranged that a technician will be visiting us at 15:00 to look into the problem. I took time off from work to meet them and nobody pithed. On enquiry to the Support desk we were told that the site visit was not scheduled according to the system but that someone will be in contact with us the next day. No one phoned us to apologize or make arrangements but at 15:00 on 2019-05-10 the technician pitched at my house without any prior arrangement. He indicated that the dish needs to be realigned to Witfield once again due to high latency and packet loss. He also mentioned that upgrades were done by them on the towers which could have resulted in the break in service. None of the existing equipment was found faulty or replaced. After he left the service was restored. On 2019-05-07 the service was completely off. Faults were logged the same day. The day after I enquired from the Support desk why the service is down and I was told that I need to supply proof that I paid my account. I resent the proof of payment made on 2019-05-31. Still the service was not restored. Today I phoned and spoke to the account department to find out what caused this. I was informed that I didn’t pay for the call out and therefore my service was suspended. I explained to the lady that none of the equipment was faulty but that the dish had to be realigned to another tower. I was told that the fault was caused by an act of God. Surely if the Service provider makes changes on their network that hampers the clients service they cannot charge the client for the that and that is definitely not an act of God. All the emails and whatsapp messages are available as proof of what is stated above.
