2 months to cancel while being billed and then ignored.
I was using Fibrestream untill recently when I switched to a new broadband supplier. As is normal I sent an email to them on the 1st of the month (October in this case) stating that I want to cancel my contract. I received a reply from them to sent my request to their cancellations department the next day. I did that and received a reply from them on the same day (2nd of October) asking why I would like to cancel. I rep**** and received their cancellation forms on the 5th of October, which I duly filled in and sent back on the same day. After that I didn't receive any feedback from them whatsoever. On the 30th I sent another email asking if my service had been cancelled or not. The next day they sent an email saying that my request has been received but with this message "Please understand that this process may take some time as we have to evaluate your contract and roll up your account." On the same day they deducted another months rental from my account. I sent them another email including all the previous correspondence and received an email from them stating that once they receive their equipment my account will be scheduled for disconnection on 30 November only. They also attached 3 clauses from the contract stipulating how the equipment stays their property and I cannot keep it. Firstly they have taken now 2 months to cancel my contract, how is that possible? Secondly they have taken an extra months rental from me, which I am fighting to get back and thirdly they threw contract clauses at me when I did not even mention the equipment? I've since sent 3 more emails, which have gone completely unanswered this month. Consumer beware, they have scrupulous business ethics, do not use them.
