RUSTENBURG DOWN AGAIN (in less than a week)
It's NOT even been a week and Evotel is down again in Rustenburg since yesterday afternoon, same as in last week. No idea what's going on, when it will be fixed, no communication from EVOTEL. EVOTEL just refers you to the ISP, who can do nothing as the fault lies with EVOTEL. My advice: If you get EVOTEL fiber, make sure you have a stable backup. In my short experience - you WILL definitely need it!

08 Dec 2021, 08:28Hi Rohan
We truly are sorry that Rustenburg has been experiencing connectivity issues over the last few days. We communicated that the reason for the connectivity break was that our backhaul cable feeding the `Bergsig POP was damaged just outside of Pretoria. The team was on site yesterday and last night however due to the rain they could not complete the repair.
The team is on site again this morning busy repairing the cable and we are working tirelessly to get everyone up and running again.
Once again apologies for the inconvenience caused.
