Expensive packages only available, out of reach for many in my area
Not really a rating, more of an observation. Towards the end of last year Evotel installed fibre connections in Krugersdorp West, much to our delight. The installations were finished early this year and then, bam!, bubble popped. When looking at their packages pricing, they are so far out of our league financially its ridiculous. Quite a log of the households in my area are single income homes, many do not earn much. Personally I think we are a middle to lower income group. My question is, how does an ISP bring in fibre and then offer packages that not many are able to afford? I am stuck using a stupid ISP, Rain, as I simply cannot afford the fibre packages on offer. There is no middle ground, either pay a high price for fibre (not gonna happen) or suck it up with ****py LTE signal and speed. Maybe the fibre companies need to take this into consideration when bringing fibre into the areas, do better market affordability research maybe? I dont know anymore.

Second of all, it sadly isn't Evotel as a company that determines the prices. Evotel charges the ISPs for use of our infrastructure and they in turn charge the end user. Therefore, it is them that ultimately determines the prices.
