Evotel Outage Rustenburg
My fibre with Evotel has been down for 2 days now. I understand these things happen but whats not acceptable is the ability from evotel to keep people up to date with whats happening and the status of the repairs. I had to find out whats going on through vodacom fibre.

We are very sorry that you've received this misinformation. The Evotel Network is entirely operational in Rustenburg with no major faults. Your service provider, Vodacom, has provided you with the incorrect information. They are currently experiencing configuration issues on their network which is causing trouble for a number of their users on our network. We have been assisting them with this, but unfortunately this fault lies on their side.
Evotel makes a point of correctly communicating outages to clients and we will always be sure to raises notices across our platforms in the event of a widespread outage. I am very sorry to hear about your frustrations regarding the situation, but unfortunately we cannot assist directly here. We are currently raising this issue with Vodacom as well.
