Evotel Business Stability issues for no fibre infrastructure

Moved to a new phase in our complex in Feb. Had a team from Evotel come out to do the installation only to be told there is no infrastructure available to carry out the installation. 2 weeks later, 14th of March, a gentleman from Evotel came through our complex and indicated that he is building a file so that they can start with the process of providing the necessary infrastructure needed to provide fibre. Another 2 weeks go by and no word from Evotel and you have to spend nearly an hour on the phone and still not be able to speak to someone. After a few emails back and forth, a support agent informs me on the 7th of April that due to business stability issues, the build has been placed on hold until further notice and they are very sorry for the inconvenience caused. How is it possible that you have the necessary infrastructure to provide the remainder of the complex with fibre but not the new phase. The existing infrastructure is directly across the road from the new phase but they can't extend it in order to service us. Paying for fibre with Vodacom that I am unable to benefit and your excuse is that there is issues with your business stability. A bit of a cliche.

Hi Gert!

Thank you for reacching out to us. We sincerely apologise for the frustration and inconvenience you’ve encountered throughout this process. We understand how disappointing it must be to anticipate a fibre installation, only to face delays and unclear communication. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the availability of infrastructure in your new phase, especially given its proximity to existing connectivity in the complex. While infrastructure may appear close by, extending fibre services often requires additional planning, approvals, and network capacity considerations, which can unfortunately impact rollout timelines. We have forwarded your query to our support team and they will get in touch with you shortly to assist.
