The absolute worst

Absolute charlatans. Phoned pretending to be Vodacom, informed me that they are restructuring their data packages and I will now be receiving double the data for no extra monthly cost. Do I accept this? I stated repeatedly that I don't need more data, but understand my package is being restructured by them, at no extra cost to me.

Lo and behold, next debit order was R100 more. It has taken me more than 10 phone calls and many, many hours to sort this out. First they claimed me saying 'no extra cost' on the recording didn't include the monthly debit order(!). Then they claimed I should have known it couldn't be for no extra cost (what??). Then they stated the extra data had already been given to me in the months I had been trying to sort this mess out, so I need to pay for that (data I did not ask for and was told I won't have to pay for). Then they claimed they listened to the recorded phone call and I agreed to the increased cost. I requested a copy of the recording/transcript and many weeks later I received a curt phone call to say they will be refunding the difference. Never received the transcript.

It is now 4 months later and I still haven't received any refund. What angers me most is that Vodacom gave my contact number to these clowns. How can they give my contact details to a different company without my consent?
