Telemarketer is a disgrace

<p> At 15:20 today I received a phone call from Elite mobile. Before the telemarketer could continue, I informed him that I had repeatedly told Elite mobile to remove my number from their database and to stop calling me. He then proceeded to ask me why which annoyed me immediately. I responded saying that my number is for personal use and they have no right to continue calling me. I was then told that I had not even let him tell me the offer. I again told him I was not interested and that either they remove my number or I will file a suit. He then laughed at me, questioned if I could even do that and said I am welcome to try. When I asked for his name, he paused and then gave me a ridiculous made up name. I told him I would be following this up and was certain the call was recorded and he just rep**** saying he wasn't sure, then just hung up.</p> <p> </p> <p>I find this behavior incredibly disrespectful and furthermore a breach of the CPA. I took part of it out for you: Companies and suppliers are not permitted to continue any unsolicited direct marketing of goods and services, once consumers have opted out.</p> <p> </p> <p>I suggest you find the recording of that phone call and have a word with your employee regarding his conduct when cold calling someone who has repeatedly told you to remove their number. Whilst you do that, I will be taking this further and be doing so in a very public manner </p>
