SLY anc CUNNING

I received a call from this crowd called "Elite Mobile" who claim to be part of Vodacom, last Friday afternoon. The lady was able to read off my data usage (and everything else) from my Vodacom details, and convinced me to buy a 2Gb data bundle that was far cheaper than what I was currently buying every month. Throughout the "recorded"conversation, I kept confirming that it was only R109 per month.

I received an email from them last night and am absolutely horrified at how she / they have politely added on extras without my consent and now want to claim R313 per month per debit order. I have been phoning and emailing all of this morning and not getting any response. When I call their call centre, they claim their systems are down and cannot assist me with my query / cancellation. So far, they have been down for more than 3 hours - some telecommunications group these people are!

I do not know how they will process the debit order as I have received separate email and sms confirmations from each of the add-on parties that my contract has been registered. I tried phoning each one but they advise they cannot cancel anything as Elite Mobile were the ones to have initiated the order and only they can cancel / stop the order.

I am looking at ways to report them to the Consumer Council as this is definitely NOT the way to conduct business. I wrote on their website and warned them I will continue to lambast them all over social media until they resolve this matter and cancel the entire deal.
