Non existing service delivery from Elitemobile

I was contacted in May 2014 via the Elite mobile call centre operator. This was with regard to obtaining a contract via them. The cost for this contract was just under R40 per month and then you will be issued with x amount of airtime. But unfortunately until this day I never received any minutes nor that any verbal agreement take in affect. Luckily I never paid anything but I am worried about the verbal agreement I made with them and giving them my current cell number. If I want to go to another cell service provided I am scared it will hinder me to take out a contract with them due to my verbal agreement with Elite mobile. I did contact them recently and told them I want to cancel this verbal contract with them but without success. The call centre operator could not assit me and never followed up on the issued. This issue is still unresolved. I am very irritated with them because in the end if I don't report this, it may happen that I am legally binded to them.
