Dishonest, and disrespect does not make you ELITE!

I was approached last November with an offer to upgrade my contract. Seeing as I had been looking around for an upgrade, I accepted but was called a few days later to indicate that I did not qualify for that particular upgrade. No reason was tendered. I was shocked and indicated that I would not like to take anything with them. Instead, I went in to a Vodacom store and did my upgrade there with ease. To my shock, when I printed a statement this month, I noticed that they had been deducting money from my bank account for the past 3 months. When I called today to enquire, I was told that it was for additional products, which I was not aware of nor did I take these. I immediately requested a cancellation and a refund when I was put through to customer care, the lady on the other end was adamant that I had to physically say each product that I did not want and not just that I did not want ANY product from them. She then said that they would listen to the recording of the call but when I indicated that she had to listen to both calls to understand that I had called to say that I was influxed with whatsapps offering me fix my technology and some online shopping app as well as a sim card, which I never collected from Clicks, she simply hung up on me. To me, this is not only poor customer service but also dishonest practice. If I did not take a contract with them, why should they bill me for services I was not aware of? They should rightfully refund the money for the past 3 months because I did not take the contract with them. It is quite a nifty tactic to deduct funds in the background from a person's account even after I declined the online banking option to continue and they had on record that I did not take anything with them. Simple Dishonesty if you ask me. My strong advice to anyone, please check your bank statements. They might be doing the same to you even though you declined their contract offer.
