Disgusting Customer Service

I am completely disgusted with the service received from Elite mobile from the delivery of my devise to the extremely poor service I received when contacting the customer service centre as well as the 5 Vodacom stores that were not able to assist me with a chip in the screen of my phone that was reported within the 7 days after receiving the phone.

Sales:

Spoke to Nerisha and was unable to have my device delivered to me at a place that was convenient because they cannot give the device to anyone even if they cannot get hold of me which I informed them would be a problem. I even suggested that the device then be taken to a store that I could then just go and pick it up from.

After some argument about the delivery when they delivered it to the address I told the consultant they would not be able to get hold of me, I called them to ask them to change the address. I spoke to Britany who called back and said they couldn't change the address and they would deliver it to the same address and just return it after 3 attempts if they don't get hold of me. I asked to speak to the manager, Angie Naidoo. I was informed that she would contact me after 3pm, by 3:30pm still no call so I called in and spoke to Veronica, I asked to speak to Angie and was put on hold, Veronica came back to the phone and told me that my phone would be delivered the next day. I asked her why I was told that the address couldn’t be and was informed that it was sent through after I spoke to Brittany who is a trainee. My phone was then delivered 10/06/2016.

Over the weekend I noticed that there was a small chip in the screen. I took the phone to Vodacom in Cape Gate mall. After a very lengthy wait I was assisted and after completing some forms I was informed that the phone would be sent away to be assessed and if it is approved I will get a new phone.

After Sales:

On the Monday, I was called from the store to inform me that they cannot assist me because the contract was taken online. They said I need to collect the phone and take it to the store in Canal walk. I called Elite mobile and the consultant I spoke to there, think his name was Mkosiginthile Phili informed me that they can collect the phone but then the upgrade will be cancelled. I asked him about the R150.00 upgrade fee that I agreed to for an upgrade and was informed that it will still be taken even though I did not request the upgrade to be cancelled. I would also then have to do another upgrade to get a new phone. The second option was to take the phone to a Vodacom shop and they would be able to do this for me.

At this point I am completely frustrated because I’ve been to 4 malls and Vodacom stores and no one can assist me. It is now 7 days later and on contacting elite mobile again. I spoke to Kayla, who could not deal with my frustration and the fact that I do not want to hear what they have to say, I just want my phone and have been without a phone for 7 days now, I asked to speak to a manager , I was put on hold only for Kayla to come back to the phone to tell me what they can do for me, she then gets frustrated with me, goes off the phone and tells her colleagues "she's completely ridiculous, she doesn't even want to listen to me". After 17 minutes on this call she very irritably asks me if I want to speak to a manger.

I was eventually contacted by Kubeshni Reddy. The matter was discussed again and she apologised for the service. I asked for an email to be sent with what was discussed. I have now been informed that the collection will be done within 7 to 14 working days (Totally unacceptable) as I have already been without a proper working phone for 7days now.

Please urgently assist.

This company has zero return policy. They do not treat their customers fairly. Beware if you receive a defect on your device, it will not be changed even within the 7 days. I have been made countless promises. My phone was supposed to be collected last week Tuesday, the 21 July 2016 and it still has not been collected. They very good at defending themselves and nothing more.

Good Morning,
Kindly be advised that the unit was collected and back at the Vodacom warehouse.
Please be advised, with regards to the OBF (out of box failure), the unit will be accessed by a Vodacare Technician, to establish if there was a technically fault or if the damage was due to negligence.
If the unit was damaged due negligence, the cost incurred will be on your part. If it is found to be a manufacturing fault, the unit will be replaced.
We will follow up for you and provide feedback accordingly.
