ORBIT TVET College doesn't want to issue students with certificates
*** and ***, ORBIT TVET College is refusing to give former students their certificates. They are saying they are busy with exams. Is this the general practice.

DHET & GEHS complete incompetence
They are beyond pathetic and ***********. Lack of service delivery. And the way how they shift blame between different departments like GEHS and my former HR, even through I also completely blame College HR for their incompetence. 9 months later and still no housing payout even though I finished my final workday on 30 January 2026.

DHET Poor Service and Lack of Competency
I am very disappointed with the Department of Higher Education and Training SA after so many years I gave my service to them. I am disgusted by the lack service towards my Pay Progression claim, which is now almost a year without being paid with endless excuses and reasons that don't make sense. This is 2025 pay progression. I have sent emails to the office worked with in Cape Town DHET Regional Office and Ms Bleki who was my assistance since January left in June and I was referred to Mr Velem who later pushed this to Ms Blou who is the deputy director in that office. She responded to me with a very irritated tone telling me that the matter is in Head Office. Remember It has been 7 months now being told the matter is being processed. DHET Head Office (Ms Machete and Ms Moshwane) that has been telling me to wait, now it is the 8th month, and my owed Pay Progression is still not paid. This is very draining and inconveniencing and a complete lack of competency. I am planning to report this to the relevant public compliance office.

DHET call centre agents who needs communication training.
I phoned their call centre today regarding a work-related query. The two gentlemen whom I spoke to, unfortunately, I did not take their names - can't even speak or understand English properly. DHET needs to send them to a communication or call centre program, or, better yet, hire people who can do the job and deliver proper service. I don't even know why I'm writing this review because I know nothing will come of it.

No Response Regarding My National N Diploma (Educare)- Very Frustrating
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and assistance from both Westcol TVET College and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). I emailed them on 05 February 2026 regarding my National N Diploma (Educare), which is still reflecting as non-compliant despite the fact that I have completed all N4–N6 subjects and the required 18 months of workplace experience. My employer letter and logbook were submitted through Westcol (Krugersdorp Campus). To date, I have not received any response to my email. I have also tried calling both DHET and Westcol multiple times, but my calls go unanswered. It is very frustrating because this diploma is important for my career growth and employment opportunities. All I am asking for is confirmation that my documents were received and verified, or guidance on what may still be outstanding. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I urgently request that both institutions attend to this matter and provide feedback as soon as possible.
