Still Taking money after cancelling months ago...
I called the Company in the beginning of July to cancel my contract at the end of the month.
The agent that I spoke to told me that he would make a note of it and e-mail me confirmation.
I never got this, so I called back and was then told to email the request in.
I did this and till this day the company is still trying to take money for me , for a service that has not been in use since the start of August.
They billed me a full fee for August and I left that as they said I must give them 30 days notice and I had only giving them 20 days.
But then come the end of August they sent me an invoice to take money for September as well.
I cancelled my debit order and now September as been and gone and this morning they re-instituted a debit order on me and took R1600 out of my account.
This company can see that my account has had no activity since August as I have sold my House and they are also aware that I am not in the country either, but are still wanting to take my money for a service that is no longer wanted.
They are also holding the line rental to ransom, so the new owners of the house cant use the line and Telkom wont stop billing me for a phone line as they say that Cybersmart will not release the adsl portion of my line.
Honestly a bunch of ****** and there support system is terrible with replying back to you every week or so and then expecting me to do there work for them.
I see on Hellopeter that I am not the first person to experience this with Cybersmart, so it must be a common thing that they like to do.
But yet when your account is down for more than a week and the fault is on there end , they do not offer to reimburse you for the downtime, which happened a few times during lockdown and I still had to pay for a service that was down.
