Credit Intel
Based on recent customer reviews, Credit Intel is described as an aggressive debt collector whose contact practices frustrate almost everyone who writes in. The most common complaint is repeated SMS and email demands for accounts people say are not theirs, including debts linked to colleges, municipalities and retailers they have never dealt with. Reviewers also dispute added communication and query fees, VAT calculations and statements they cannot reconcile. Consultants are called rude or unhelpful, with several reporting dropped calls, and some threaten escalation to the National Credit Regulator.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and treatment I have received from Credit Intelligence. I have an existing, agreed-upon payment arrangement of R200 per month, which I have faithfully honored and made every effort to pay regularly. Despite keeping my side of the agreement, I continue to be bombarded with reminder emails, automated messages, and additional fees/charges that I believe are completely unfair. Rather than supporting customers who are actively taking responsibility and making genuine efforts to settle their accounts, Credit Intelligence makes the process more difficult and penalizes those trying to do the right thing. When I reached out to resolve this matter directly and mentioned that I would have to escalate my concerns, the manager, Loraine Mudzanani, flippantly told me to "go ahead." This complete lack of empathy, accountability, and refusal to assist paying customers is unacceptable. What I am demanding: Immediate removal of all unfair additional charges/fees added to my account. An end to unnecessary and relentless reminder communications while my payment arrangement is active and maintained. Proper acknowledgment and transparent, fair treatment as a paying customer. If Credit Intelligence refuses to engage constructively and resolve this issue directly, I will further escalate this matter to the relevant regulatory authorities, including the National Credit Regulator (NCR) and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman (CGSO).

I have never seen such ********s in my life. They add R25 if you query what the statement is about, they charge R25 after you phone them to explain the charges and then they do the following. The send you a statement, if you paid R335, they take 10% of it, then add 15% vat on it, they then send you an outstanding amount, where they also add 10% and VAT. The operators don't even know how things are calculated, they are useless. They harass you. For an amount that was +/- ended up being R250 after 3 weeks, which is absolute ******* and a place like this needs to be stopped.

I received a so-called “final reminder” SMS from Credit Intel demanding payment for an account that has absolutely nothing to do with me. This is unacceptable and amounts to harassment. When I contacted their office to correct their mistake, the consultant was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Instead of assisting, they abruptly ended the call while I was still speaking. Sending payment demands to the wrong person is already a serious failure, but the shocking lack of professionalism when trying to resolve it is even worse. This kind of behaviour shows a complete disregard for basic customer service and accountability. I demand that Credit Intel immediately: Remove my contact details from their system Investigate how this error occurred Provide written confirmation that this matter has been resolved If this continues, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter further. Avoid dealing with this company if you can.

Pity I can't give it 0 stars, it actually deserves "-5 stars"...... Its a Useless company trying to **** me. Id advise any company that cares about it's clients and is looking to hand over clients to try any other company..credit intel is the pits. I called them at some point to tell them I'm not who they think I am. They don't know my name, no address, no real history with me. I asked never to be called again but nah.. They keep coming. They sent me this message a few days ago "Debt will lengthen for 30 Years. Pay R9400.25 owed to Capricorn TVET College. FNB Ac *** Br: 250655 *** CreditIntel Tel ***" I've never went to a TVET college.. I don't even know where a Capricorn TVET college is located if it exists. Imbiciles have had my number for like 10 years texting me.. Doesn't it even prescribe if I possibly owed some company/institution? It's good they don't have my main number otherwise I'd forever be ****ed from their stupid calls. They keep calling the number I never give to anyone for any serious calls.. I technically drop any call that rings in that number without even checking who it might be.. blocking them isn't easy as I can't block all extensions from their company before they try to call but I will keep adding their unwanted calls to the blocklist

CreditIntel is unprofessional and *********. My TransUnion report showed a listing for R5,845, which I settled on 27 February 2026 by paying R5,850. Now they are claiming extra 'fees'—first R2,700, then suddenly R2,100. They are charging me for 'Communication Fees' from 2024, but their own recordings prove they were calling a wrong number that is not mine. I demand my Paid-Up Letter and an immediate update to my credit profile

Have a account that I have been paying with them for almost 5 years. Looked at the statement, thee charge a person twice in one month for the same thing. They even charge for sending a receipt. Where I asked them to stop sending this useless info. Today all the lady could say was, pay more on the account then you will pay it off earlier. When asked if I pay the full amount she said there client doesn't allow for a discount. You need to pay the full amount. Yes but stop sending letter for unnecessary stuff. And then she said they send it to a email and a sms. Hello I'm a grown up I know that I need to pay and I don't need reminders or acknowledgements. Once a year is more then sufficient. I will never finish paying this account of if I pay 1200 per year and your fees are 420 per year.
