On 25 August 2026 my Defy side by side refrigerator stopped working. I phoned Cold and Hot Space through the WhatsApp number supp**** to me. The technician came out two two hours later and within 20 min identified the problem. It was the PC board of the refrigerator. He took the board with him to see if he could salvage it and said he will bring it back the next day. The next day, 26 August he told me that the board was out of stock at Defy, but he will build one up and bring it to me, which he did. He did come as promised and the refrigerator is fixed.

Arnold of Cold & Hot Space fixed our Delonghi Coffee Machine that we have had for many years without servicing. He gave us a very detailed breakdown of the problems with it and did an excellent comprehensive repair and service and returned it 5 days later. We recommend only paying on delivery and testing as our machine was initially returned making a clicking noise when turned on as a tooth in the grinder unit was out of alignment. We recommend Arnold. He's a good technician.

My refrigerator did not cool and I called Cold and Hot space to have a look at it. The technician called me back to make an appointment. He was on time and told me the refrigerator need to be regassed. He did it for me on the spot and I paid him the next day. He gave me a 6 month guarantee on the work done. The refrigerator work well for three days and then did not want to cool again. I phoned the company again but sadly did not get a positive response over the weekend. Early on the Monday morning the technician phoned me and told me he was not well. However he sent out another technician who told ne that the compressor was not working. He went to the workshop and bought me a new compressor for which I paid. He came back end put it all together again. I did not pay any labour fees this time as this was covered under the six month guarantee. The refrigerator is now working as a new one.

Terrible technician,useless.
Arnold is a terrible technician,he took my Bosch dryer then **** every day about returning it to me,now I’ve had to say I’m going to police to lay theft charges,suddenly I get a phone call from Arnold that he is going to return my machine.Still don’t have machine.

Terrible technician,useless.
Arnold is a terrible technician,he took my Bosch dryer then **** every day about returning it to me,now I’ve had to say I’m going to police to lay theft charges,suddenly I get a phone call from Arnold that he is going to return my machine.Still don’t have machine.

Not working after the first repair, but Arnold came back to look at it again. Some pieces of washing slipped underneath the rotator after his second visit. Phoned him to let him know, but no answer after that. He did not even respond.

Don't be fooled !
They deserve o stars !! The water of my Defy dishwasher wouldn't warm up. They claim that they will come out with all the required equipment to fix on site, they arrived in an old open bakkie..... not any equipment in sight. I was told it's the PC board & they will have to take the machine with for the repairs, which was on a Saturday. By Monday was told it's working only be be told 2 days later it's still not working. The only thing worse than their fixing skills is their communication skills. I was told numerous times my machine is working & when I asked when they would bring it back, only be be told again they still working on it ! In the end, 2 & a half weeks, they gave up & couldn't fix it !!!!!!
