CIBA: Tickets Closed, Problem Unresolved
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from CIBA regarding my outstanding CPD hours for 2025. I had outstanding CPD hours for 2025 that I needed to make up. When I completed CPD activities this year specifically to make up those outstanding hours, the CIBA system automatically allocated them to 2026 instead of 2025. I raised this issue with CIBA and explained repeatedly that my problem was not that I had not completed CPDs, but that the system would not allow me to allocate the CPDs to the correct 2025 period. I was advised that this would be manually corrected. I have now requested my membership certificate, only to be told that I have not completed my 2025 CPD requirements. This is incredibly frustrating because I have logged multiple tickets about this exact issue and have tried to explain the situation several times. Instead of resolving the problem, I receive generic responses, particularly from Moratwe Molefe, and the tickets are then closed. What is even more frustrating is the pattern of customer service: agents respond to the query, provide a generic answer and seem more interested in closing the ticket than actually resolving the problem. I have been trying to resolve this issue proactively, and I have repeatedly communicated the problem. Yet I am now being penalised for a system allocation issue that I raised with CIBA beforehand. At this point, I feel completely ignored and unsupported as a member. The issue is not complicated: I need the CPDs I completed to make up my outstanding 2025 requirements to be allocated to 2025. CIBA needs to take ownership of the problem, properly investigate the previous tickets, correct the CPD allocation and stop closing tickets without actually resolving the member's query. Very disappointing service from an organisation that should understand the importance of professional compliance

CIBA( Chartered Institute of Business Accountants) - A Unprofessional & ********* Governing Body
I joined CIBA back in 2021 when it was still SAIBA, I made sure that I kept up with my CPD ensuring that my verifiable and non verifiable hours are up-to-date. In 2024 I made a decision to cancell my membership as there was no benefit to being a member of that organisation they don't help you with anything and all they do is upsell their webinars and courses + membership. I paid my outstanding membership for 2024 and requested that my membership be cancelled and not to be renewed for 2025. I received a ticket for the logged request and the consultant on hand acknowledged my request and said my membership would be cancelled going forward. yet I kept getting billed, each time I would email support the email would bounce, each time I try to call their helpline the call has not being going through. Whats worse is I have no logged in the portal in years, its been years since I updated my CPD I denounced any and all association with the organisation whereby I even removed the designation behind my name. yet they still kept my memebrship active despite numerous request. Today they sent me a legal warning whatsapp. I believe as an institute recognised by SAICA they are not allowed to keep my membership active if my CPD are not up-to-date but to shhpw they not a professional organisation and they just want money they still harrassing me for a bill I have no business paying for

Peter Sape informed us that if we paid R5,860; in addition to our annual subscription, for a certified designation we would be registered as a Tax Practitioner with SARS. Despite many, many, many chasers this has not happened Furthermore, we have not received a refund of the monies paid as requested

I have a query that has not yet been resolved and l am struggling to get hold of anyone. I have sent emails and my query is not resolved. This whole week the phones were ringing and not answered. Can someone get in touch with me or can l have a number or a direct email address so that l can be able to speak to a person who will be able to assist me.
