Rose Courtz Trading t/a BitCo (“BitCo”) deceiving the public in the name of the DA (Democratic Alliance).

I just got a call from a call centre with the number ********** 150 or + ********** 1150 (as it showed up on my cell phone). This woman called Nhlanhla posed as an official of the DA (Democratic Alliance) and asked me if I had registered for the upcoming elections. She also demanded to check my physical address and I gave it to her. She then wanted to know my ID number and I got suspicious. She seemed to be looking for someone whose ID starts with a 4 (and mine starts with a 7)... she then wanted to know if I knew another person with the same surname as mine. After the call ended, I checked at https://www.revealname.com/ ********** and realised this Polokwane landline number does not belong to the DA, but to Rose Courtz Trading t/a BitCo (“BitCo”), which seems to be some telecommunications company. I feel duped and violated - and demand they delete my personal information in line with the POPI ACT! One cannot call them back, because they block incoming calls. This should be investigated and this company should change its ********* way of dealing with people!
