No Customer service at all - Do not join Bitco

I called Bito on the 18th if April about updating my Router since the one they installed is an entry level model and the wifi signal is very poor. I asked if I could purchase a better one, either from them or my own and they configure it. They said yes but they don't sell routers I would have to buy my own. So I agreed. Then he tells me I have to email them the request.

So on the 19th of April I emailed this request in the morning. My request was transferred to 4 different people with no reply. So I called, no one there. They later called back. So I explained what my needs are. I need a better router with stronger wifi. The location of the existing has a few concrete walls between it and the lounge so the signal is even too weak to install an Access Point or extender.

Later that day they forwarded me a quote for the following "Managed Access Point - R171pm"

I was a little confused. I don't want to HP an access point. I want a better router?

So I emailed them back that day (19 April) and explained the situation again. I even included a link to the router i thought would work and asked them for advice on that router. Would that one work? could they install and configure it for me? Or do they have another suggestion?

So you understand why I am asking Bitco to do the install - Bitco does not allow the customer to fiddle with the install and you do not have access to the wifi router username and password. So anything to do with the wifi connection must be done through them.

Today is the 11th of May and I have not had a single reply. Not and email saying yes or no or offering a solution - nothing!!

Over the months I had heard of friends and colleagues complaining about Bitco service, but i had never needed them until now. Cusomer service is basically non existent at that company. Don't bother joining.

My next step is to cancel and move, let's see of they answer that email.

Good day

As per your discussion with our Customer Relations manager, he has assisted with options for the Wi-Fi that you require and will have an IT person get involved to assist with completion of this installation.
