Payment for no service

I take a package with Axxess. I haven’t had internet services for a week now. I opted to cancel my package with them so that I can use different networks. When you cancel you are forced to stay another month with them which you have to pay for. Already I paid for April and haven’t been able to use the data due to no service and I am not getting answers. To add on that they expect me to pay for May even when I will have no connection to the internet. They say no obligation to take a package with them and to stay on but cancelling is tricky as you will have to stay for an extra month and pay for that month. It’s inconveniencing.
