Good Service with space for improvement
I recently decided that it was time to go to fibre as it was becoming clear that paying for a telephone line that is never used was not worth the effort and also after several attempts to get my Telkom line repaired using either their 'chat line' (which didn't work at all), their online report which simply gave me an error and their phone line. I tried to use my service provider MWeb but I am currently out of the country and I need a phone to get online with MWeb. Looking at possible providers, Axxess seemed to give the best deal with basically no contract after 6 months (because of the reduced price installation). They were easy to communicate with and prices seemed competitive. I signed up and was given the usual '2-6 weeks' and things are slow because of Corona 19. To my amazement, within a week, the modem was delivered and within another two days Vumatel (who provided the fibre connection) had set up an appointment. Basically within 10 days of signing up, the line was in place. Sadly (and this is where they lost their 5th star) it then took another 2 weeks to get the line registered. The do not check the account on installation which is a problem as the client then has to be led through the process with their tech department - a fact that I only learned when I phone to ask what would happen next. Finally it was up an running but they had charged for the two weeks without service. A curt response from their accounts department told me that they still charge when you have no service. A follow up complaint (threatening to go to helopeter and my Broadband got a quick response and I am now happily enjoying my fibre and have a refund for the time that the line was not working. I am a happy customer, I am paying less that I did to Telkom and MWeb and most importantly I have a stable connection. There are a few improvements you can make, Axxess but generally I'm impressed with your service and your online web site.
