Give the courier driver a copy of my ID and proof of residence????

I ordered an LTE SIM from Axxess quite a while ago, which I cannot receive because I refuse to give the driver of the courier company, a copy of my ID and proof of residence. This is my right as I know identity theft is sooo real in this country. What happened to my constitutional rights and POPI Act? Fine- I might be 1 in a million who is actually cautious with regards to this, so I asked Axxess if I could pick the SIM card up rather. They would not even give me this option. This is really scary that people are expected to hand over such private information to a total stranger- a driver of a courier vehicle no less. I will have to go elsewhere- where the company is willing to accommodate customers who know the law.
