Debit order Functionality is misrepresented

<p>Good day </p> <p> </p> <p>Perhaps the functionality works this way but it is surely not practical. When paying with a Credit Card an insufficient funds is answered with a R7.50c charge however when paying with a Debit Order (Standard Bank) an insufficient funds is answered with R115.00c penalty.</p> <p> </p> <p><br />I was never clearly informed that debit orders are submitted immediately and when I enquired with Axxess they responsed "your debit order is on the first". I made changes to my account and added top-ups for some as little as R35,00 only to discover a R115.00 penalty because there wasn't sufficient funds in the account.</p> <p> </p> <p>I again now made the "stupid" mistake of changing my web hosting from parked to another service, only to discover that this had an immediate charge AGAIN!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>This simply cannot work, a debit order is something set by a single organisation and is deducted from your account once; clearly this is not how it always works and Axxess is very misleading in this regard, with no clear indication when you sign-up for a debit order that this is how you will be charged.</p> <p> </p> <p>I've quickly counted and have done almost R500 in penalties to myself because I did not realise this until it was too late.</p> <p> </p> <p>Truly sickening.....</p>
