Axxess LTE cell C Is the free month offering genuine ???,

I placed an order for A Cell C LTE package on the 23rd May 2019. I specifically informed them that I wanted the activation date to be 1st June 2019, because I had an existing package which expired 31 May.

I told them if my contract date started before 1 June I would prefer to cancel the order and place an order after 1 June. They informed me I only then need to activate after 1 June then However they charged me from the date I placed the order and not from 1 June which would be free month.

when I called them on 1 May the first person I spoke to said I was charged because I pay by debit order and not credit card

The second person I spoke to told me that nowhere on their website do they mention that the activation month is free. I wonder if they are trying to con us into taking a package by offering a free month.
