AXXESS Cell C FIXED LTE is ******* (long review is worth the read and written in good faith)

The review is written in good faith to warn unsuspecting consumers of a unreliable internet service. My experience has been that of AXXESS administered CELL C LTE connection. This has been available since approximately the beginning of 2018. Similar services are also offered via providers such as Webafrica and more recently Afrihost. I have not had experiences with these providers but in my recent reading it appears that the Cell C linked service through these intermediaries is just as unreliable. However, I do not have first hand experience with these intermediaries. My experience with the AXXESS CELL C LTE Sim only offer was flawed from the start. The order process was poorly handled and ***********. The delivery of the sim card took weeks instead on days, as advertised. Since initiation I have had lapses in connection. I have had the sim card since March 2018. In the first two months I had a down time of 2 days per month. Months after that it increased in frequency and length. I had remained patient and continued to engage and 'trust' the AXXESS support. I have been a customer with AXXESS since 2010, in those days all their services and mostly support were outstanding. However, as it happens with growth, customer care and services deteriorate, while number of customers and profit becomes the priority. This of course is not unique to AXXESS and capitalism is to blame more than the company itself. Philosophy aside, it is clear that the AXXESS CELL C FIXED LTE service is unreliable and potential consumers should stay clear. The cost for the amount of data (by RSA standards) is tempting, I know. It is not worth it , on this you may take my word or discover it for yourself. If you chose to do the latter , at least it is a month to month contract and you will be able to withdraw. I'll get to say 'I told you so'. In all seriousness, the AXXESS CELL C FIXED LTE deal appears 'to good to be true' then ..................................................( you complete the sentence please). NOTE: I also operate a Cell C sim card that is purchased directly from Cell C, this has been reliable. This is the connection I would use whenever the AXXESS CELL C FIXED LTE would be down, this allowed me the 'patience'. It is clear that it is the Cell C deals linked to intermediate service providers that are a problem. ps. I know the review was long, but I hope it saves you time in the long run. I wish you the best.
