The worst ISP in CAPE TOWN - STAY AWAY

Please refrain from using Amobia's services if you are living in the Kraaifontein area. I am currently using their service and it is pathetic.

I have a 4mb line with them however my current speed is 0.6mb. My services has been intermittent since the storm hit over the weekend of the 10th - 12th July 2020 I have done the following to get their attention but not a single person has followed up with me.

1. Logged 5 Tickets with the helpdesk. - No response 2. Called the helpdesk to follow u. - Support agent advised that the services has been restored on the 16th.

Then on the 17th I had two online exams scheduled.

1. Microsoft Azure AZ-900 2. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

I attempted to sign in and write but my internet speed was too slow and I could not complete my exams. I then immediately logged a Ticket and called the helpdesk again as they advised that the services were restored.

My exams were scheduled for 17th July 21:15 and 18th July 00:00. If I had known that the services were down I would have made other arrangements.

I at least expect them to cover some of my fees as the cancellation policy is 48hours and I could not postpone my exams due to their negligence.

Not only that I am still working from home and the internet is so bad that I need to drive to a different location everyday so that I can work.

I have no faith in Amobia. They are one of the worst if not the worst ISP in Cape Town.

This is quite pecu**** as I am not currently uploading anything.

This does not make sense as it has never been like this before. The technicians which were here advised that they had to adjust the access point.

Could this not be the cause? I am thinking they could have pointed it to a different tower?

Also note that the Latency is quite high and I am getting drops in the connectivity.
