Ridiculous and ***********
After about 6 years of faithful support of Amobia, I find it hard to accept being penalised for an upgrade done by your upstream provider. I am faced with either a forced higher monthly subscription (and the same arrogant, inexperienced call center agents with their "its Frogfoots fault" or "It's something you did wrong" attitude), or I need to accept a downgrade to an unusable upload speed for the nature of work I do.
Quite unfair if you break it down. Same substandard service, more expensive monthly costs or same substandard service, unusable speeds.
They still have the nerve to force me to stay an extra month with them, by enforcing a calendar month notice (despite them being in breach of contract) And to top it all off, they happily grabbed the escalated fee with both hands and conveniently kept me on the lower speed until I called them to complain?
How many other customers have they ****med this way?
Now they are still refusing to give me the full service that they are forcing me to pay for and using lame excuses like "your router has been on longer than 24 hours", "you are using the wrong speed test website", "you will only get full speed if connected by cable, wireless is always slower" etc.
I am willing to bet that I will not have a single day of full speed now, because I have dared to expect to get what they are forcing me to pay for.
Thank you for making us aware of your current situation at your premises.
Regarding proper testing practises, testing over a wireless connection can be unstable as the test can be influenced by interference, location of the test device or the position of the router.
It is best industry practise to test using a good quality LAN cable(minimum CAT5e or Cat6 ) directly to the router to confirm that speeds are not achieved.
It is also recommended to disconnect all devices from the router to ensure there are no other devices using bandwidth while the user is testing as this will affect and speed test as the bandwidth is shared on the clients router.
All Amobia products are unshaped and unthrottled.
Thank you.

I don't know what kind of super industrial strength tesla coils or microwave magnetrons you have running right next to your wireless access point that would cause that much interference to drop your speed by up to 25 to 35 Mbps over a 1m line of sight gap, which is the kind of speed deficit I am calling in.
It would be another thing if we were talking about eeking out a few extra Kbps, but when your degradation is measured in Megs, that is just plain, downright unacceptable.
What is also unacceptable is your ******* practices of charging for what you are not providing. I refer, the forced price hike for an extra 10 Mbps, that I did not request and did not get despite being charged for it. Strangely, my neighbors, who are also on Frog Foot, but with Afrihost, are paying the same as they were on the 30/30 connection, but now getting the upgraded 40/40 speed.
You also do not hold Frog Foot accountable to their SLA, instead, you conveniently just leave them to be offline as often as they please and thus your customers are then also offline. (The more often your customers are offline the more often you get free money without having to work for it and actually provide a service)

Our team was on site this afternoon to come and do a proof of service.
We were able to achieve full speeds directly from the router, the ONT and over the wireless.
When the techs tested using one of the phones on site they were not able to get the speeds.
Thank you.
