Amobi lack of service

After having problems with my signal since March, paying for a new router, paying for a private technician as Amobi has not got one in Johannesburg. Today they tell me that I need to pay for a private technician again. Please do not take on this service provider they do not know the meaning of service.

 Dear Gillian,

Thank you for your email and for raising your concerns regarding the connectivity issues at your site.

Following our investigation and testing, we can confirm that the fibre service is operating normally and is performing at 100% capacity. No faults, interruptions, or performance issues have been detected on the fibre circuit.

Our findings indicate that the issue originates within the site's internal network infrastructure and is not related to the fibre connection itself. Specifically, the tenant router is not directly connected to the main router via a physical network cable. Instead, it connects wirelessly to the main router located in an external building. This wireless link forms part of the internal network setup and falls outside the scope of the fibre service.

Wireless links can be affected by several factors, including signal strength, interference, alignment, environmental conditions, and equipment performance. Based on our testing, the fibre service is stable and functioning as expected up to the handover point.

We therefore recommend that the internal network, including the wireless connection between the tenant router and the main router, be investigated further to identify and resolve the source of the connectivity issues.

Due to our technicians' absence in your area, we recommend engaging a local IT or networking service provider to assist with troubleshooting the internal network. We also strongly recommend that the tenant router and main router be connected via a dedicated network cable rather than a wireless link, as this will provide a more stable and reliable connection and help eliminate wireless-related issues.

Should you require any technical reports or assistance to support your internal IT team in troubleshooting the wireless network, please let us know.

Thank you.
