Absolutely trash ISP, do not sign up with them at all costs. I'm not joking, you're way better off with phone LTE.

I've been with this joke of a company since 2015. Unfortunately my Telkom cables were ****** in 2015 and I had to cancel my subscription to Afrihost (an amazing ISP). So we signed up with these trash bags and we've had proper connection about 40-50% of the time. No I'm not kidding. For two years the connect has been bad for 2-3 weeks out of every single month. EVERY MONTH. The issues range from terrible latency, jitter, packet loss, download speed issues. You name it, amobia has it. I honestly don't know how this ISP hasn't been investigated yet. They treat their customers like absolute garbage. Only recently have I been greeted with a new host of phone technicians who seems to love lying. Never before have I been so blatantly **** to by a phone technician. Well once before I have but that dude has been long gone. I'd know seeing as I've phoned these ***s almost every day for the last two years lmao. I pretty much know their entire line of staff active in Cape Town. Don't get me wrong, some of their employees such as Charles and Vernon actually know what they're doing. A few others like Deshaam (doesn't work their anymore) also were actual good network specialists. These days the people trying to fix my connection have literally no idea what they're doing and have hilariously managed to fail fixing my connection since the 18th of December having made something like 10-12 attempts XD. I kid you not, they phoned me everyday saying it's fixed just for me to lag out of my ESEA matches in CS:GO. What a joke. Here I am trying to get ESEA rank A but I can't even play a match of CS without freezing or lagging out, performing poorly when I have jitter. No jokes the jitter on this connection is so bad I can show you actual graphing on CS:GO competitive matchmaking sites like billosoft and ESEA to show how my rating rises and falls from month to month depending on whether my connection is working properly. So needless to say gaming on amobia is a lost cause. You'd do better playing CS at an internet cafe. Or better move into a university dorm or something.

The reason I've written such a harsh review is because I honestly can't be ****d anymore with these idiots. I've never been **** to so blatantly by phone staff before (I mean they'd tell me they'll log a ticket and they just won't do it). Now they're pretending that there's nothing wrong with my connection when I've literally lagged out of CS:GO, Battlefield 1, PUBG and FIFA servers XDXDXDXD. What a meme. They're telling me to send screenshots of me lagging out in order for them to investigate further? Wait what? They need me to show them I'm disconnecting in order for them to investigate further. Load of BS if you ask me. What a bunch of basic people. I've tried cancelling twice before but both times before I've been backed into a wall because it's next to impossible to find a good ISP in Stellenbosch in the area I live in. Partially because I currently have no Telkom line, obviously no fibre and most Wireless ISPs are either trash or have ridiculous installation fees. Too bad I didn't see the snowball 24 month deal. Wow I hate life. Sucks being a 19 year old stuck at university unable to move out. I guess I'll just have to drop gaming and focus on bodybuilding. Thanks for ending my CS:GO and COD careers amobia. And no I'm not a noob blaming this ISP, I actually was good and I actually have a tiny bit of s**** when I'm actually playing on stable connection. Well amobia is far from stable so please do not sign up with them.

As a gamer I'd know what I'm talking about, I'm no network expert but I've looked into how ISPs work and trust me when I tell you, you WILL be **********, and if you don't care about what I have to say read below. Do not allow this ISP to carry on making good business. They don't deserve their customers.

I have still not received any “contact” from any “consultant”. No problem at all, I’ve already emailed requesting cancellation. Not to worry as this month has been paid for.
