Worst WiFi Company I’ve Ever Dealt With
I cancelled my Afrihost fibre today, effective 31 December, because I am moving on that date and will no longer need fibre at the old premises. I’ve been on a month-to-month contract for two years, well beyond the initial 6-month period.
Yet Afrihost is now insisting that I must give a full calendar month’s notice, and that my cancellation date can only be 31 January 2026 — meaning they expect me to pay for fibre I cannot use because I will no longer live at the address.
They keep sending me links to terms on their website, but they cannot provide any proof that I ever signed or agreed to a 60-day cancellation notice. Since this is a binding contract, if their cancellation terms changed at any point, I should have been 1) formally notified, and 2) asked to agree to those changes. None of that ever happened.
This company clearly prioritizes money over fairness or logic. Why should I pay for a service I physically cannot use? Their customer service shows no common sense and no initiative to assist customers in real-life situations.
Do not trust this company. They will find any excuse to keep billing you.
