Worst ISP in South Africa

It should be possible to give a zero rating, because that is what Afrihost deserves.

I've been struggling with internet services at home for months now. First, our ADSL, which was working fine for the first 4 months, suddenly went haywire, with less than 1 mbps download speed on average. Then, an enticing email delivered directly to me that Fibre is now available in my area & look at our shiny promotion. So I fall into the trap and sign up, router is delivered within 3 days, and then BAM, oh not, Fibre is NOT available, and it will only be available in the second quarter of 2018, and oh by the way, if you cancel now, you owe us R999. Great. Now follows months of constant complaining, fixes suggested by Afrihost agents etc. Then another shiny promotion, Fixed Wireless - it's so great. It's a lie, it's ****. Absolute ****. Our average download speed is between 0 - 2.6 mbps (they promise up to 30 mbps). Then more (4 to be exact) months of constantly trying to "fix" it. This involves countless phone calls, whatsapp messages, emails etc. to Afrihost to get assisted. They don't. Somebody new always deals with the case, asking you the same damn questions on whether you've done this or that to fix it. YES, I've done EVERYTHING you've suggested, it is still not fixed. Yet I'm expected to make payment of R800 every single damn month. No breaks for me. The other favourite is, oh we've sent information to RAIN (who is Afrihost's third party supplier) to do something. They don't.

This is an absolute joke. Do not use Afrihost for anything. Ain't nobody got time.
