Who's fooling who?

I was informed by both Vumatel and Afrihost that the fibre "was live" in Havenside on 14 April 2021. As Afrihost is my existing ISP for ADSL I opted for them to also be my Fibre provider. MISTAKE?

When Afrihost sent me the payment link, I prom0ly made payment of the first month's subscription.

A few hours later on the same day, a representative from Nano Fibre, agents of Vumatel, called me to arrange the installation. Date and time for installation was set for next week. Twenty minutes later the representative called me to advise that the area is "not live".

I subsequently called both Vumatel and Afrihost....both indicated area "is live". Representative of Nano Fibre is adamant it is not so. Who do I believe? Why did have to pay the first month's subscription now?
