Website taken down without notice. Kept billing
I've had a concept website up and running on a domain I paid for. Now that I want to deploy a more solid product on the site, I notice the site has been down for months.

I opened a support ticket with Afrihost to ask what's going on, I receive correspondence from Robert.

1. He says my site has been stopped because it's using high resources.
2. He says Afrihost does not have to notify clients when they stop a site!??!
2. He cannot tell me how long the website has been down!?!?
3. He cannot tell me which resources has been above thresholds or what is actually wrong with the website. Which makes me think that nothing was wrong with my site (maybe someone else on the shared server), and they just stopped my website for no reason.

The website is a dumb website with no functionality. How can it be using any resources at all?
The database is empty, and there are literally only a few template pages active.

Even-though the website has been just a dummy website, I have been paying for months now only to find it has been down all the time?
Will this be the kind of service I receive when I put something concrete on there?

Sincerely sorry to hear about the hassles here. We should definitely be notifying clients if sites are taken down due to resource limitations being reached.
I've run through the account briefly and can't seem to find any form of communication around this.
The site is up and running from our end, albeit slow.
I've requested someone with some very good knowledge to get in touch and run through some options, they'll be in touch with you shortly.
Regards
The Afrihost team
