Waiting...and waiting...and still waiting for Godot...uhh afrihost

What a drama trying to get fibre installed. Firstly, Afrihosts website is misleading. It indicated that Octotel is available in my area and delivery and installation would be in 7 days. When after those 7 days I inquired about the progress, I was then told, Octotel WANTS to be in the area but isn't yet. They were hoping within 12 weeks. If I had known that I would have ordered Open Serve to start with. SO Afrihost website ****. I did ask for the order to be changed to Open Serve. A week later when I followed up, I am told that an order number wasn't generated. They could see I ordered, but they didn't generate the order for Open Serve, which means I am not even in the Open serve queue and Open serve is dealing with backlog. And then am told, there is nothing they can do about that even though that was Afrihost's error. Then twice a consultant says they'd find out about escalation and call me back. Still waiting for the call. Seriously, if you need internet in a hurry, don't even think about Afrihost.
