Unhappy client

I have been a client of Afrihost for a month now. I do not expect to be treated with royalty but I am very unhappy. I joined up with Afrihost on the 12/06/2020 when my first payment of R399 was deducted from my account. Installation took place on Monday 15/06/2020. This was also a bit of a challenge as Afrihost could not pick up my address. There was an active line already in the same street with the same adress. The one is a Street & the other a Close. Eventually my line was installed at the correct address on the 15/06/20. I then called in on the 02/07/20 and spoke to a gentleman called Kabelo to ask when must i make payment to be reloaded again with data, and it was told that the next payment will be debited from my account on the 31/07/2020 . On the 15/07/2020 my line was inactive. I called in on the same day to see what the problem was. It was then said that Vumareach could not debit my account as there was no funds available when I was told that next payment will take place on the 31/07/2020. I also did not receive any notification from Vumareach that they tried to make a debit from my account, which is unacceptable. On the 16/07/2020 I called in again after I transferred money into my account and it was stated to me that my name will be placed on a spread sheet for Vumareach to make a debit of an amount of R209.00, , which was actually not true, the amount was R399. And the amount of R209.00 was actually told by one of the agents. On the 17/07/2020 I called in and a consultant, named Philani, told me that my name was never placed on the spread sheet and that my lined has moved from SUSPENDED to EXPIRED. He requested his Team leader, Kwanda to add my name on the list. I have called the call centre several times over the weekend and still nothing has happen. Last night at about pass 7pm, another consultant called me after I requested a ‘call back’ just to hear him say “ halo, how are you doing” and kept me hanging on the line for 40 minutes without any assistance. Currently I am losing out on a lot as my wife is working from home and is depended on this Fibre Line. It’s been 7 days now and I still have an inactive line. From a very unhappy client

Reviewer Update
Hi there

After 10 days of struggling to get my Fibre line active, it was done in less than 8 hours. I had to go through extreme measures by getting some Directors involved of the company and to my relief, a lovely lady called Anne van der Merwe came and rescued the day. She was immediate pro active and did her utmost best to get me up and running, with the support of a gentleman called Oscar. We just want to thank them for the excellent work they have done. Many thanks.

Happy client☺
