This is how they treat people who aren't even clients yet!

Ordered a fibre installation from Afrihost. Entire process was completed on line and no-where did it advise that there would be a long, long wait for installation.

Order placed. Router delivered (there is nothing I can do with this). Apparently Afrihost have now done what they believe is necessary??

Phoned, emailed, sent Facebook messages… Apparently they are waiting for Open Serve. But I am supposed to believe that Afrihost and Open Serve do not communicate or update each other at all. That one day, a miracle will occur and the person scheduling fibre installations will pick my name out of the hat… I would have thought that as an order was placed, Open Serve would be advised and this would be scheduled. I realise that this is not an exact science and the jobs scheduled prior to this may take more or less time than anticipated, but there should be some indication of when the installation will happen. Either Afrihost and Open Serve need to start communicating with each other – or (and I think this is the real reason, in the absence of any other rational explanation) this installation will take way longer than the 3 – 6 weeks that was promised, and they don’t want to advise clients of this.

The total lack of communication and customer service does not bode well for a long-term relationship.
