They give their clients the worst service in the world.
17 February we came home from a short trip and our internet was down. We contacted the chat of Afrihost. They could not help us but gave us a number of the helpdesk. During a couple of days we tried everything they suggested. Hours and hours of mobile voice and mobile data sending again and again the pictures of the routers. Finally we consulted an IT specialist. He said he thought the TP link device didn’t recognise the signal of the router. Because before everything was okay he thought the TP link device didn’t work anymore. We communicated this to Afrihost and they said it would be better then to return the 5 months old device for examination. As it was still under warranty. I saw they withdrawed 249 Rand from my account as “ delivery costs “. And of course my montly sum for internet. The agreement to collect the device for examination was on 23 February. Later they send in a mail collection was expected monday 2 or Tuesday 3 March. Tuesday 3 March someone contacted me and said collection would be Wednesday between 11 am and 1 pm. It is now nearly 6 pm. No collection. I contacted Afrihost by chat. 3 times today. 3 times another person. 3 times i explained. 3 times they said they don’t know why they didn’t collect the device. We are now 16 days without internet. Mobile data are costing me a lot and Afrihost keeps on saying when you call them they will do everything to give their clients the best service in the world.
