Terrible Service!!
I recently requested to cancel my package as I was moving houses, and quite frankly, the level of connectivity I was receiving was almost none existent. The line continuously drops, no internet connection, I could not even stream Netflix. So it is quite easy to cancel, you just login to the clientzone and click the cancel services button, done. I realized that I had actually cancelled the service too early and to my surprise, you can actually click the same button to "re-activate" your service, which I did and my service was no re-activated, or so I thought. I just received my invoice, of which I was charged an extra R300+. I hopped onto the Whatsapp line and have been speaking to a Thulani Z (01.09.2020 at 4PM). They tell me it is because I did not re-activate my bundle, I just re-actovated the service. However, when you click that re-activate button, there is nowhere where it says this! So how the hell are you supposed to know this? Thulani tells me I should have emailed them! Again, how am I to know this? Surely if you put the option to re-activate the service, if a client clicks this it should just re-activate the same service that was just cancelled, no? There was also no email or notice received to say you are not bundled now and as such we will be charging you extra, they just debit! When asked Thulani to get a manager to call me back, they gave me an email address to email my query through. I said no, I want someone to call me, they gave me a toll free number to phone myself. How is this service? No customer service or focus at all! I have just now cancelled my service again, due to this ***********ance. Absolutley shocking! I will not be back with Afrihost, I was going to be going over to Fibre with Afrihost once I had moved, but after this level of service, I will be sure to avoid them like the current plague!!
