Terrible service

I made initial contact with afrihost on the 14 April 2021..i placed an order for a dsl line to be installed at my home.

I was advised that i would require a router which would cost me R799 I paid for the router ..it was delivered and i was told that within 14 working days openserve will contact me and come through to install the line.

Almost a month has passed...i have not received any calls from open serve and i have made numerous phone calls at my expense to Afrihost querying this....with alwas the promise that It will be sorted. I also informed afrihost that i had urgently required the internet line for work purposes and was unable to work due to the line not being sorted.

I made yet another phone call today only to be informed that open serve will not be coming through to install the dsl line and that afrihost will be cancelling the month to month subscription that i had signed up for.

I queried about the router that i had already paid for and received a call from an agent who made a returns claim and informed me that they would return the money i had paid for it and that arrangements will be made for the courier to pick up.

A few minutes later i get an sms on my phone to say that afrihost has further charged me R 249 taken out my bank account. This is totally unacceptable..

Further to this i later i get a call from the courier service to inform me that they would pick up the router the next day..to which i did not agree.

I will not return the router to afrihost untill i see the refunds reflecting in my account..

Afrihost has shown gross disregard to me as a customer as i had stressed to them the urgency of the dsl line being put because of work purposes..i was unable to work and earn money causing me and my family go into gross financial distress all because i trusted afrihost to keep to their word and install the internet like they assured me they would. I am a totally dissatisfied customer and i would certainly never recomend afrihost to any of my family or friends.
