Terrible Customer Service - Afrihost

I would like to warn potential clients of Afrihost /Vumatel of non existant customer service. If you expect excellent service stay away from Afrihost and Vumatel.

The reason why this review is aimed at both Afrihost and Vumatel is because Afrihost as a service provider does absolutely NOTHING to ensure you receive excellent service. They don't have a proper escalation process. This ultimately means if Vumatel is slow on delivering services there is NOTHING afrihost does to hold them accountable. I had an installation ticket opened for my fibre line on the 22nd November 2021, to date 20 December 2021 my fibre has still not been installed. Almost a month later, and what makes this worse is everytime I follow up I am promised I would receive a call the next day for installation which obviously doesn't happen. My query has been 'escalated' about 4 times yet NOTHING has been done. All you get from both these companies are lies and empty promises!!! They do nothing to expedite your queries, they simply send an email and sit back and wait. I don't understand how in today's life companies don't have SLA'S in place so that clients don't have to waste airtime following up on things that should be done from their side. If u want to utilize these people, expect NON EXISTANT service, lies, empty promises and utter laziness!
