Sold me a service you don't have availability for!
I am moving my business to new premises and placed an order with afrihost for fibre after confirming availability in the area for me. The line gets installed on the 2nd of March 2018, holes drilled and everything glued down, line tested dead and was told someone must activate it at an exchange.
Several weeks pass with no feedback or contact. 3 calls later afrihost tells me two different stories, firstly that my router will activate the line, then after challenging that nonsense I am told no actually there is no infrastructure for my fibre in the area.
My business is due to move in next week, I am a software development business, I WILL guarantee to have a loss of income if my internet is not installed by then. Anita Moya contacts me to ask if anything was installed, I said yes and I said my neighbours have fibre so what is the issue....I don't hear back from her the entire day. I call the call centre just before 5pm and get through eventually to be told she clocked off for the day at 5pm...this with 15 other callers on the line for fibre issues.
How can I, after years of loyalty to afrihost, trust YOU with providing a service you approved, delivered the router for and installed all the hardware. Had I not called you and moved in next week to find the internet was dead then what?
Now I will say this one last time, I ordered a service through afrihost, you confirmed availability and proceeded with my order. You lead me on to believe my business would have connectivity, as the income for my business relies on that connectivity. You fail to contact me with a status, you sold me on a service that is not available when I could have had ample time to secure internet connectivity with another company, now it is far too late to secure another service provider when there is literally a few days until my business moves in.
You WILL be held liable for this and the loss of income.
