So many bad customer service issues over 6 months trying to sort my fibre out proves bad service is a GIVEN and not an isolated incident.
since the bad experience has been consistent over the 6 months, this is clearly how they are and not an isolated incident.
If i have to go onto the story behind the past 6 months it would bore anyone and given the stats on Afrihost's lack of response here, i fear also futile. so here are the CONSISTENT actions from Afrihost I have come to realize i will be subjected to :
1. On a number of occasions I have waited about an hour to get through to an agent in the call centre. If that agent youre talking to is due to knock off his shift, he disconnects your call and you have to call in again, waiting in line again. I know this was deliberate because when I call back the new agent confirms his shift just finished and he's not there anymore.
2. If the agent says he will investigate for you and call you back, they never do. Just on this one fibre issue of mine, I have had 4 agents promise to call me back later that day - after confirming / investigating - only to leave me calling in again the next day re-explaining my whole issue again to someone new. The worst of this is I was promised to be called by the octotel service manager yesterday to discuss the way forward on resolving my Issues and again, no call. Even with me threatening to take my issue to hellopeter if they dont call to help resolve it, i still got no call.
Here are the current issues nobody will take ownership of and resolve.
1) I was billed for a router I shouldnt have been and a credit was promised onto my account which never happened. 2) I was billed a cancellation fee incorrectly and promised a credit which also has yet to happen. 3) Vuma were sent by Afrihost to install my fibre on Friday and when they gave me my global number to give to afrihost to activate my package, afrihost said Vuma shouldnt have installed it and now I cant activate my octotel package... So some brightspark on saturday deleted my octotel order and replaced it with a vuma order which I never signed up for. The agent on monday had the audacity to try get me to sign up for a Vuma package since my line is a vuma line! ...
Now they are CONVERTING my vuma package back to an octotel package which makes this the 4th package change over 6 months pushing me AGAIN to the back of the installation 6 week wait queue.
